Project: Pleasant Valley Neighborhood Retrofits

Description:

The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council helped residents in the Pleasant Valley Stream watershed retrofit their homes with green infrastructure. Homeowners installed rain barrels, diverted downspouts to rain gardens and replaced impervious areas with pervious pavers. GIC signage showcases "Nature at Work" at these homes. The project also included installing tree filters to replace storm drains, dog-poop collection stations and stream plantings.
