Project: Second Beach Depaving

Description:

The trench along the seawall was filled with sand and natural soils and planted with beach grass that will help absorb and filter runoff that previously would pool on the parking areas and roadway. The tubular green barriers surrounding the trench contain wood chips that help remove contaminants from the water. The project was designed by the Engineering firm Horsley Witten.
